Helping in the Kitchen

I believe this is the last of Mica’s clothes that still smell like Haiti. We’ll have to wash the dress today. I was wondering how to preserve the smell; don’t know how. So I’ll preserve the image.  While making supper, Caleb is working on a project for school about the Haitian banza.  Ironically, an Irishman playing “Danny Boy” on the banza is the recording he found.  It all seems fitting.

  1. Oh my goodness, Ellen! She looks amazing, and already flourishing under your loving care. Maybe it’s partly the hair that makes her look older as well, but just beautiful!! Hopefully she won’t miss the smells anymore.
