As one child worked on rote memory math, another enjoyed playing with Christmas toys just unpacked. The math student needed quiet.
The player came and asked if she could take off Santa’s clothes. My grandmother handmade the Santa, and I wanted to watch and be sure the play was gentle, and I was in homework support mode. My first no was returned with another query, “May I please take off Santa’s clothes?”
Math worker’s stress was ramping up, so I firmly stated,”No naked Santa!”
